This week, we wanted to talk about some of our tips for teaching Kindergarten reading lessons online and walk you through how we have been making it work. NEVER did we think that we would be transitioning our Kindergarten intervention students into online sessions, but, as we are sure many of you can relate to, we needed to make the transition and it needed to happen quickly. However, we had always set an age recommendation on online sessions. Emergent leveled books rely on predictable text. Each leveled book systems have complex criteria, but one common trait can be found in the earliest of emergent books. When COVID-19 forced us to transition to fully remote intervention, we were already pretty comfortable with it, and we were lucky to say that for some of our students, the transition to online learning was easy.
